#26: Re: My crash recovery Author: Mounty, Location: United KingdomPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2013 3:40 am ---- Both my front wings are bowing a little where they meet the doors due to a very light front impact. Are these easy to get off or is there a guide on here? Cant find one.
I can push the wings in so they line up with the doors but they wont stay in that position as if a clip/fixing is missing?
Any help appreciated
#27: Re: My crash recovery Author: Simmo, Location: YorkPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:10 am ---- Wings are surprisingly easy to get off. Two bolts on top which hold it down to the body, one behind the light, one next to the hinge of the door and thats it. The one that i said which is behind the light is the trickiest one. you may need to remove front bumper and hold the flat bit of the bolt with mole grips (you will know what i mean when you get to that bit).
#28: Re: My crash recovery Author: eddie206, Posted: Wed Feb 20, 2013 7:58 am ---- If you do remove a wing or two the bumper/wing bolt mentioned just above is easiest removed by sawing it thru with a junior hacksaw or similar but be sure to put some tape on the metal/plastic around the cut or you can easily scratch it...once youve done job and putting back together just use a normal nut and bolt where the cut bolt and square was.
