Okay, so I thought I'd make one of these project pages for my car and show you the stages I have been through up to date.

Please feel free to comment on (in fact I ask that you do, good or bad) any changes made, future changes and so on. I want to know whether I'm going in the right direction or not. I know it's my car so one might say it's up to me, but I'm still proud of it and what other people think, so do feel free to add your thoughts even if you think it should be scrapped lol!

Right... the first day I bought my car 6 months ago... it looked like this:

[/img]

I then got the wheels done a different colour which I thought complimented the Aegean Blue colour better, got a Janspeed cat back exhaust system and a K&N panel filter. There are better pictures here:

Okay now for the exciting bits, previous feedback indicated that a lot of people hated the chrome lexus style lights and I was neutral about it, but having seen all the cars on here with different lights etc I decided to go for a few changes. Here's what I did

- Black LED rear lights (changed from chrome)
- Cupra R splitter (changed from the colour coded existing one)
- Black smoked valeo's (changed from standard crystals)
- Zunsport black grille (changed from silver sp grille)
- Black bonnet vents (changed from silver ones)

Now I know one other thing that a lot of people hated were the side skirts and the diffuser, the diffuer may be coming off soon but the side skirts I would like to stay ideally. I like them. The only problem is the future developments I have i.e. lowering, so they may need to come off anyway. But without further ado these are the most recent pictures of my car, how it looks as of today:

So, there we have it! My journey as of today. Not very much but then again I'm not planning on putting it on a track or anything.

Future changes to be made are:

- Lowering the front 40mm to eliminate a bit of the huge gap in the arch on the front wheels
- Blue LED dashboard lights (instead of the standard orange ones)
- Calipers painted red
- Team HEKO wind deflectors

Already have someone sorted to do all this, so will upload more pictures showing future developments as and when.

So what do you guys think. Please comment on the changes so far, whether you love it or whether you'd stick a match on it.

Thanks!

Loving the progress mate but IMO I'm not a fan of the kit but each to there own and looks more individual than what every one else does with a 180 so thumbs up from me.

Looks great now, I personally don't mind the kit (usually I think they look crap) but yours is quite subtle and its good to be different. You should mask the fogs and tint the side repeaters. Also consider painting your badge. Don't just paint it black because it looks crap as you can't see it. Have a look on my for sale thread I colour coded mine and then painted the emblem and chrome surround black. Its a much better contrast. You could even do it the other way around.

I like the skirts & bumper kit, it sets the car off nicely without going over the top & stops it looking like every other 206 on the forum.
you've done a good job mate the car looks awesome
!! Rock Onnnnn.. !!

I'll supply the matches if someone else supplies the petrol Rolling On The Floor Laughing

I'm glad to see it is starting to look better. I remember when you posted photos when you first got it, and thought then that the bumpers ruined the car and how much stick you were going to get.

Tint the rear fog and hi level brake light to match the tail lights. At the moment they jump out and need to be toned down a bit.
I'd also get rid of the SP fuel cap and look for one in Aegean, it will smooth the line of the car and be easier on the eye.

At least you know what you like, even if it isn't everyones cup of tea.
Some people would tell you to go for performance, but let's face it, 70mph is 70mph. Doesn't matter if you're in a Robin Reliant or a Bugatti Veron. The only difference is one looks better than the other and turns heads. Keep working on the aesthetics and you'll get to where you want to be eventually.

looks alot better lee. personally id paint the front lion and "U" badge in gunmetal to match the alloys, possibly the boot badges aswell. and get a black rear fog and break light to match the LED's. and maybe a little tinting film on the front fogs to make them darker aswell, or mask them?

its definatly heading in the right direction though, keep up the good work Wink

Read your message mate...

Those side skirts and them little things on the rear of the bumper need gone quicker than an essex girl pulls her pants down. Just look cheap and tacky.

Tint the rear 3rd brake light and fog light or replace them for black ones to match the rear lights.

Colour match the boot badges, fuel cap, gutter strips and also your front badge to your wheels.

Side repeaters replaced for smoked/black led ones.

Fog Lights matched in Gloss Black like the headlights.

Spray the wiper arm in Gloss Black.

Thats just my opinion though... totally up to you what you do. Gone the right way about getting rid of that horrible front splitter.

Just don't turn the car into a chav mobile like most of the other cars seem to be turning into.

Front of the car has now been lowered 35-40mm, I've had the Team HEKO wind deflectors put on and have had the calipers painted. Some pics:

Left to do:

- Blue LED dashboard lights (definite)
- Smoked high level rear brake light (most likely)
- Smoked front fog lights (considering)
- Smoked rear fog light (considering)
- Black or Aegean blue petrol cap (definite)
- Possibly a carbon black front badge (considering)

Black petrol cap has been done, blue LED dashboard lights have been installed, smoked fog lights and hi level brake light will be done next week. I've bought the 17" OZ superturismo LM wheels so there will be pics in the near future of those. For now though, here's the car with wheel arches that have been done. I think it compliments the body of the car.

I gotta thank a lot of you for feedback and tips so far, but one thing I've decided that I'm sure a lot of you won't like - the sideskirts are definitely staying. I like them, and it makes the car a bit different. I wouldn't be wrong to say I've not seen any other 206 on here with the skirts so regardless of opinion it's definitely unique alright; and I like that about my car.

Here's two pictures:

If you want to keep them, then keep them.

I actually dont mind them, not my thing but they do kinda work with the car which is what matters. If everyone styled their car the same then the modding sceene would be very dull indeed!

Well said Sam-c. Variety is the spice of life, if you went to a show and all the cars were the same it would be a bit pointless.

Here's an updated picture.

Think it looks so much better with the new OZ alloys.

There's a few dirty white marks on it so could have done with having a wash and polish but oh well it wasn't in a proper photo-shoot this time!

I've already got the masked hi level brake light and the fog lights just need to get them fitted, also I am going to get all the stone chips from the inside of the wheel arch painted so it looks the bees knees all around - as currently there are big white marks where the paint has come off next to the wheels under the arch.
