Love it !!
How low is the rear by the way ??
Iv still yet to lower mine at the rear.
I never realised you had 804 cams fitted , looks like you had a nice gain from them.
Have you any more engine mods ??

#9: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Wed Feb 13, 2013 3:26 pm ---- Very nice! I personally think the multispoke TD alloys suit it better though. Any idling issues with the cams?

#20: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:07 am ---- Thanks everybody!
@ Johnbyron: I'dont now exactly. I bought the car lowered on springs and rear adjusted. The front wasn't low enough so there were the coilovers.
@ 206gti_chris: Radio Controlled just a GTI180 LHD
@ DJ-: We will see when they are fitted. And yes i've idling 'problems' does somebody now what the solution is?
@ Schumi: Done, see the first post. The cylinderhead is a little modded to fit the exhaust cam.
@ MattyP: Yeah that was fun for a time, now removed because of the noise.
#21: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: =ZiAn=, Location: SloveniaPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:43 am ---- Hey, did you stick with the standard ECU or are you using a standalone with those 804's? BTW awesome car, I saw the thread on a NL forum and was simply amazed The only thing wrong is that you sold the previous wheels. they were an incredible fit.
#22: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 6:00 am ---- Thanks Yes it's the stock ECU that's bin remapt. I'm trying to figure out what the differences in mapping are whit an Group N ECU (besides no ESP, airco etc..) before I start searching for a standalone. Do you have one? Wich brand?
#23: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 6:17 am ---- I think its the vvt on the 180s that make running cams a pain in the a**e, if you disable/blank off the vvt I would assume it would be like running cams on a 138. witch is fine on hydronic lifters if you don't go over about 285* then your into solid lifters and it will hardly tick over at all running 300* cams even with after market management.
#24: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:00 pm ---- How is your idle with 804 ? Is it stable as stock ? And idle rpm ? Can you send a dashboard video at idle ?
#25: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: =ZiAn=, Location: SloveniaPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2013 7:18 am ---- @Slowride,, we're going to use DTA s60 pro, as it's the best option so far. Plus the tuner I'm going to use is an expert on DTA's.
@Schumi, the 804's are probably alright (looking at the spec), but 805's might be quite lumpy.
#26: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Nic_206, Location: cleaning the carPosted: Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:50 am ---- Beautiful car you have there but im biased as mine is very very similar lol what future plans have you got mate?
#27: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Mon Feb 18, 2013 7:54 am ---- @Schumi/=ZiAn=: It runs between 1050 and 1150 rpm by first start up, when the oil is on temperature 950 to 1000 rpm. So you can call her lumpy indeed. At 4000 rpm it's pretty noisy too. Lower and above it's beter.
@=ZiAn=: Has an EW12J4 also VVT?
@Nic_206: Plans? The only update i gone made for now is the white wheels. Wishes, to many but our house is now a high priority.
#28: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: =ZiAn=, Location: SloveniaPosted: Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:24 pm ---- Yup it has VVT as well. Also head is similar to that of the EW10j4s but it has some differences.
#29: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Paddy1795, Location: CarlislePosted: Mon Feb 18, 2013 1:51 pm ---- Looks absolutely amazing mate! Never thought I'd like a 206 so much!
#30: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Sat Mar 02, 2013 6:31 am ---- Yes new coilovers...
Somebody nows how low they really go on a 2.0? And is it wise to remove the helper spring?
#31: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: PezHdi, Location: ShrewsburyPosted: Sat Mar 02, 2013 7:00 am ---- Are these the B14's? They look awsome
You will have to let me no how you get on with them as i might swap them for my B8 shortened shocks in the future :]
I've got kw v1 inox shipped from germany couple days ago.
#33: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Sun Mar 03, 2013 6:05 am ---- I'm running that coilover with helper spring. But I'm using my custom camber adjustable top mount with 2cm upper ofset. And they can go much more lower.
#34: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Sun Mar 03, 2013 7:00 am ---- I want that to! Did you already made them?
#35: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Resist, Location: BirminghamPosted: Mon Mar 04, 2013 1:28 pm ---- That's a very good looking car. Not too extreme, looks very good. The wheels suit the car very well also.
#36: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:01 pm ---- Yes its on my car over 1 year. But there is not direct fitment. I need +2 positive caster and +/- 2.5 camber on my track oriented daily car. So that camber plate need drilling and cutting on strut towers. But I'm doing +1 caster with -1.5 camber for direct fitment to 206 without any drill and cut.
#37: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:10 pm ---- Cutting isnt perfect. Because this summer I will gone bodyshop for weld laser cut plates to strut for preparing to roll cage. But if you want to look how is looking thats first prototype almost 1.5 year ago.
There is no simple return my own kit but as I said I'm doing new kit for KW v1 and v2 and Bilstein B14. But this time offset shape will be same as big hole on strut for assemble without cutting and 3 bolts for without drilling.
It's made from billet 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminium. So its light but so much strong.
#38: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:34 pm ---- That's really good looking, respect! Thanks for sharing these pictures. What type of bearing did you use?
#39: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Schumi, Location: Istanbul / TurkeyPosted: Mon Mar 04, 2013 3:56 pm ---- First I used some German Spherical Bearings but I didnt satisfy with that. After 3 month and so much rain they start to make noise. Now I'm using SKF with TX Highperformance without any problem.
#40: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 4:00 pm ---- I bought some thinner helper springs to get it a little bit lower, i'm satisfied for now.
Here some pictures of the last weekend in Anderlecht Belgium.

#46: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: PezHdi, Location: ShrewsburyPosted: Thu Apr 10, 2014 4:35 pm ---- Any updates on this?
#47: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Wed Apr 23, 2014 7:48 am ---- Yes, still oil problems. High oil use after installing the cams. The pistonrings are replaced now and cilinderhead is checked so we hope the problems were over after the running in period.
In the mean time I've bought myself some bucketseats with harnesses and stripped the interior.
After that finished another set of wheels, OZ Superleggera 16?x7? ET16 with Federal 595 RS-R 205/45R16
#48: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: PezHdi, Location: ShrewsburyPosted: Fri May 09, 2014 2:46 am ---- How is sorting the oil problems out?
Has replacing the piston rings sorted it?
Car is looking good
Will you try to break the 200bhp mark?
#49: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: Slowride, Location: Netherlands/near RotterdamPosted: Fri May 09, 2014 3:31 am ---- With an run-in period with 10W40 semi synthetic oil, after 1000kms they expect de oil use will drop till a 5000kms after replacing the piston rings. Personally I don't believe this is the problem. It use oil when the engine is on temperature on long distances, so what's the problem?
Yes I hope to break the 200bhp mark, it needs a new remap now because it's running lean at some RPM's.
1 positive thing, it still sounds fantastic.
#50: Re: Slowride's 206 RC... Author: GlennMRX, Posted: Sat May 10, 2014 5:10 pm ---- Beautiful 206 you have!! any videos of it?
