#1: Knocking when going over bumps Author: A10PSW, Posted: Wed Feb 20, 2013 12:14 pm ---- I am loosing patients with my 2005 Pug 1.4 HDI. The clutch and gearbox has been taken out and put back in 3 times now due to a input shaft bearing, a worn clutch and again because the new clutch was faulty.
Now i have got it back I have noticed a knocking coming from the offside when I go over a bump and also a clunk when I turn on full lock.
Could this have been caused by the work that has been done?
Any ideas anyone?

#10: Re: Knocking when going over bumps Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Thu Feb 21, 2013 5:01 pm ---- Doesn't sound like a bush, are your shocks really bouncy?
Check the top mounts for any movement, a bush wouldn't really make that noise, not from bouncing anyway. I suppose t could be an engine mount, I looks like your engines moving, but cant really tell. If it is then its more than likely engine mount. See for any movement back and forth when revved. You can expect a bit, but not loads.
