#1: Rev counter? Author: Holderness, Location: Paull, Near HullPosted: Thu Feb 21, 2013 11:55 am ---- I have seen on a quick Google search that there common for to stop working, but mine is very intermittant.
One minute it reading what i seem to be correct then the next its hanging round the 1000rpm mark..
Any tips/ideas?

No warning lights etc on, so i guess its just the usual lazy unit syndrome!

Basically any car made pre October 2001 was pre-plex and post October 2001 is multi plexed. It's just the different electrical systems used in the car, but it is useful to know if you ever need parts or advice on a problem

The Rev counter seems to be working today, bizarrely enough if im sat at say a junction or in traffic for a few minutes, it starts working ok for a few miles then goes back to been slack.
