rear wiper problem

I've recently bought a 04 plate 206 hdi gti.The rear wiper will only activate when i select reverse gear.Any suggettions as to what the problem might be will be greatly appreciated.

Comms unit. Mine had the same issue. Bought a new unit from ECP. Problem solved.

do u mean that when your front wipers working,and you select reverse it works?? if that is the case,then it's normal,but if it's not working when you turn the switch,then as said above,you need a new com2000

Yea mine did exactly that. Would not work on the switch, but when I had the front wipers on and reversed the wiper worked.
