Hi,

A mate has a 04 gti 180, looking to get a decap, is the decap pipe thw same on both gti models?

De-cat, no it isnt the same.

I dont think you can buy an off the shelf de-cat for the 180, you have to have it made up, I had one made for about £120 4/5 years ago and it could be removed for the MOT.

120 quid for a pipe i would have thought near 50 would be resonable

No not just for a pipe, its also the cost of welding flanges on the down pipe and the old cat so you can change it for the MOT and on mine that included the cost of a new sensor that went in that cat as it was totally welded in.
