#1: Dans bmw project 1 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Mar 14, 2013 10:02 am ---- HEY!
so i havent been on here for a while beause of the work im doing on the car, i knew if i came on here i would probably end up changing my mind alot with the look etc that i wanted to go for, howevr now she is at a stage that i can share her as im only going to be tweaking what shes like now.
so it started about 6 months ago with a mate telling me i had to at least try a BMW, so i went off and bought a 318is E36 (1.9 version) just to have a feel of it.
needless to say a week in and i was RWD hooked its good on motorways has a fair bit of poke and of course goes slideways. so next came me thinking of just keeping it standard, that didnt last long!
so this is how she was on first arrival, sheer bog basic 318is! although it had E46 alloys on it but not very nice :(/>
so the first thing that changed was the faded badges
next was spraying the kidney grills black
then i managed to source a front and rear MTECH bumper which was a good bargin so on they went
only problem was the rear diffuser has a tow bar cut out so that will be changed soon,
next was some maintainence by getting a new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder new wheel bearing brake lines and fuel pump spark plugs and oil too. *phew* cost a bit that month!!
then i thought about doing the fogs yellow....so i did!
at this point i also tinted the rear white strip on the lights although now im debating taking it off??
next was a good ol clean!!!
then i managed to get some 7 series alloys that i hadnt seen on many E36's
so next came a few differnt stickers and items such as a remus cat back:
then................
WOO HOO
and this is how she is now:
so future plans are
a refurb of the alloys into a nice grey to get rid of the lacquer peel on them
lower the rear a bit more,
new rear boot
repair exhaust bracket
3000k HID mains as the i dont like the blue
camber kit
show alloys with strech (maybe m5 throwing stars)
im also now looking at a new project of a 325 with a difference so watch this space hahahahah
comments and opinions welcome!!!

#10: Re: Dans bmw project 1 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Mar 14, 2013 5:16 pm ---- Yh I've been good mate you? Lol
The 1.9 is pretty good tbh, it's a daily driver and does 64 miles a day so the 1.9 has enough pole for around town and a bit of fun but still sits at 50+ mpg on the guage for motorway driving,
Like I say it's the daily driver and the 325 turbo project will give me all the power I need for a fun car.
You should try a bmw mate I didn't think I would be fussed about them but proper into them now!!
Dan I don't know a Becca mate how comes??
Gonna stay away from the m3 trims as I don't want it to end up looking like a m3 rep as I think it's pointless looking like something if you haven't got the power to back up the looks! Lol
Next things is refurb, buy some m5 throwing stars get a bit of stretch and give it a f*****g good detail lol

#13: Re: Dans bmw project 1 Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Fri Mar 22, 2013 3:33 am ---- TSI went a long time ago now lol.
Now have :
The pug still (hate it)
This bmw
Seat Leon 1.4 diesel FR
And looking to get a 325 as a new project
The fr is pretty standard except for a few custom sprayed bits and some interior carbon wrapping and that's how it's staying as its a company car so will be going back in about 2 years
