#1: Radio on 1999 206 Author: faldo98, Posted: Sun Mar 24, 2013 11:03 am ---- Hi I'm new on this forum, I've had a search through the topics but can't find a solution. Please bear with me. My wife has a 1999 206 1.4 with Blaupunkt radio and cd player in the boot. Some time ago the radio stopped working -nothing . The cd does not work either. I have checked the fuses but in any case there seems to be power to the radio as the light on the volume knob comes on. A friend in the used car sales business swapped the radio with an identical one which he had as a spare and knew to work, but this behaved exactly the same as the original one. It seems like there is nothing wrong with the radio it just won't work! This does not make a lot of sense. I thought it might be a common problem with these radios. Can anyone help?
Thanks, faldo98

#4: Re: Radio on 1999 206 Author: faldo98, Posted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:00 pm ---- I don't know how to get at the supply leads. Can you tell me how to take the radio out?
Thanks, Faldo98
#5: Re: Radio on 1999 206 Author: DC555, Posted: Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:46 am ---- I've got the same problem, same car, same radio, no power at radio. Checked the fuses next to steering wheel and the 10a in the back of radio and all appear ok. Unplugged all connectors in back of radio and reconnected and still no joy?
Any ideas????? the date/temp read out on top of the dash is working and says "Radio-Out CDC-Out" ????
To get the radio out, to save buying the "extraction" tools etc, I just cut down a metal coat hanger to make two "rods", then just slide them into the two holes either side on the front of the unit, bit of 'wriggle' and radio just slides out. Might be a bit 'tight' to pull, that was just because of the wire looms and aerial connections on the back.
