#1: Gearbox Whine? Author: RyanC206, Posted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:36 pm ---- Hi everyone, new to the forum. Had an MG but now moving to a Pug!
Anyway, I have a strange sound/squeak coming from the gearbox (I assume)
It is noticeable when idle when the engine is cold, as well as when accelerating the whine gets faster. However the sound disappears in 3rd gear onwards.
Any ideas? I thought clutch release bearing but it seems that it isn't clutch related.
Thanks
