I had some Angel eyes bought for me. They look loads better than standard ones however.
I'm lost with fitting them. Currently my head lights take H5 bulbs, just one per light but these take H7 two per light. I got some adapters comming off ebay but the new lights were supplied with this lead that plugs into stuff and a fuse its a little confusing as i dont have a clue about it.
Has anyone else swapped out standard H5 lamps for these eyes?
Any help would be appreciated and if anyone is from around my way I'd like some help fitting! s64

#2: Re: Angel Eyes Author: mtempsch, Location: Gothenburg, SwedenPosted: Wed Mar 27, 2013 12:34 am ---- Your stock H4 lights are supplied with 3 wires - ground, +12V dipped beam, and +12V high beam.
To connect to 2x H7 bulbs you split the ground and run one to each bulb along with the appropriate +12V lead.
But now they still don't behave like H7 lights are supposed to - only one bulb at a time is on (as only one filament at a time in a H4 bulb is supposed to be on).
To fix that and keep the dipped beam bulb on as you turn on the full beam a relay is added that is controlled by the full beam signal and provides two +12V sources to the dipped beam bulbs; with the full beam off the dipped beam bulb gets the normal supply from the car through the relay's normally closed terminal, and with the full beam on the dipped beam gets +12V directly from the battery, via the fused wire and the relay's normally open terminal (which closes as the full beam activates)
If your car's hardware supports it, this behavior can instead be achieved by activating an optional setting via OBD.
