#1: 206 1.4 mis-firing - Headlights Author: RickyDicky, Posted: Thu Apr 11, 2013 6:53 am ---- New to this site so bear with me.
This could be a coincidence, but I'm sure someone here will enlighten me.
About a month ago my Daughters Car , her 206 was mis-firing when she started it in the morning and I noticed she had a headlight out. So, I replaced it and the mis-firing went away.
Two days ago the bulb on the other headlight blew and it mis-fired again !!!
Could some voltage drop be creating a potential hidden fault, also the EML light came on both times, but cleared after I changed the bulb.
Any Ideas ?

Year and model of car can often be useful when asking electrical questions. There are two types of electrical system pre-plex (before October 2001) and multi-plexed (post October 2001).
Also are you running standard headlamps, either frosted or crystals, or some aftermarket s***ty things with HIDs in?

It is a 1.4 petrol, 2004 model with standard headlights and bulbs.
In answer to V9977, the battery is 18 months old and in good condition.
