#1: PP2000 Author: LiamGTi180, Location: OxfordPosted: Sat Apr 27, 2013 10:27 am ---- I have just purchased PP2000 and necessary leads. They haven't arrived yet but after reading around I have a few concerns about running it on Windows 7. I know PP2000 can only run on Windows2000/XP. What I want to know is;
Will Diagbox V6.18 run on Windows 7?
If not can you run it in XP mode using Windows 7?
Some people say yes others say no. Anybody done it and know the asnwers or how to get around it.
Thanks Liam

I tried to install Diagbox on both the Vista and XP, and the activation is awkward. Even following the instructions that came with it, it wouldn't activate. I know that quite a few others have tried to run Diagbox with no success. If someone has managed it, I'm sure they will try and guide you through the process.

Ive never got diagbox to install.

PP2000 works on XP only and yes you can run it in a virtual enviroment like VM.
Try not to mess-up your ECU/BSI though as clone interfaces are not like the real thing.
#6: Re: PP2000 Author: LiamGTi180, Location: OxfordPosted: Sat Apr 27, 2013 5:04 pm ---- Basically the problem I'm having that the car won't start. Everything BSI related such as, wipers, headlights, cd player and trip computer are not working. However other electronics such as electric windows and interior lights are working. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Will I need my key code card (that I don't have)?
#7: Re: PP2000 Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 4:24 am ---- Fuses inc. MF-type fuses checked with multimeter?
#8: Re: PP2000 Author: LiamGTi180, Location: OxfordPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:53 am ---- Yeah all checked and even double checked this morning
#9: Re: PP2000 Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 7:04 am ---- Have you checked the plugs underneath the BSI are all in properly?
Also, all fuses in engine bay and cabin area.
I think some engine bay fuse box have the fuses under the top part and are not showing.
For what it's worth key card is not important as there are other ways to find the code from the VIN.
#10: Re: PP2000 Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 8:13 am ---- Have managed to install PP2000 yet? What version of Win 7 do you run?
Have you done anything to the car recently, including anything non electrical related?
#11: Re: PP2000 Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:30 pm ---- I will just point out that Diagbox will not operate on ANY 206, so there is no point in having it unless you wish to operate on newer vehicles such as 308/3008/207 etc
#12: Re: PP2000 Author: LiamGTi180, Location: OxfordPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 4:13 pm ---- I haven't received the lead or software yet but I'll let you know how I get on.
