Fit uprated dampers to a car with standard torsion bars. Put 100kg in it. The suspension drop will be the same as before.
Put the same load on a car with uprated torsion bars and it won't drop as far.

The clue to what dampers do is in their name. They dampen the energy in the torsion bars. So they slow down the suspension movement.

Thank you for explaining Smile

But gas dampers 'push-out' a bit whereas plain oil ones don't.
So it will have the effect of stiffening a bit together with the tightness of the damper itself no?

Those tires are way out there though, is this photoshoped or..?

Under no load they might push out but with the weight of the car on them they won't push the car higher at all.
