Checked the brake fluid level?
Done any work on the brakes recently?
Do you have ABS?

Lol door open beep.

I do have ABS. New pads and discs on the front. Brake fluid on max.

As this only happens under braking, just before I come to a stop. I am starting to think it is an ABS issue. I have not had a car with ABS so what am I looking for?

Predictive text or very small keyboard?
I'll hazard a guess it should be door.

If it's door open sound, maybe there is an interminent contact on one of the locks. It will only take a millisecond to trigger the sound even though there's not enough time to display the message on the MFD or flash the interior light etc. That's just a crap guess though.

Have you bled the system with PP2000 to switch the ABS block to bleed?
Is your ABS dash-lamp working OK?

I think the light is working. It comes on when I start the car with the other lights. Then goes off.

I do have an issue with the drivers lock. I struggle to lock / unlock with the key. Also have a knocking sound inside the door. Just not got round to sorting it yet.

If it is a door issue where is the sensor and what should I be looking for?

Thanks

The sensor (switch) is inside the lock/latch unit itself with the locking motor etc.
The barrel is sepparate though if that has gonne stiff.

When did you do the brakes/disks?
Did you do bleeding with PP2000 for the ABS?

Also, do you have a bonnet switch and a tailgate switch fitted?

I don't have pp2000. And did not bleed the brakes.

However this issue was happening before the brakes were changed.

I would bleed the brakes too if it was me.

In the tailgate striker there will be a switch with two wires going into it.

For the bonnet, the easiest I think is to open the bonnet with engine running and see if you get a beep and MFD message.

Ok I will test this later. If I have both of these I take it your thinking is the switches maybe faulty?

Just another thing to check.

I would bleed the brakes too if it was me.

And as macca says clean the ABS sensors and rings.

Need to get pp2000 then. Can't afford that till August. Are the sensors and rings on both front and back? I have drums on the back.

Is brake cleaner ok for the rings and sensors? Wire brush or cloth?

Thanks for all the help and advice guys!
