#1: MAF Replacement time? Author: bbunce1991, Location: Northamptonshire PostPosted: Sat May 25, 2013 10:13 am

Hi guys. Got my PP2000 yesterday and set it all up and have got a fault stored on my ECU. See picture below.

What does this mean? Do I need to replace my MAF? If so where best place to get one? I heard the cheap ones are a bit naff. Also, are second hand OEM ones worth a look at, or could I just be wasting my money there?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks.

Brad

New OEM from eBay.

Might be something else though.

Press 'ENTER' and see if it gives you any more information.

Did press enter and is said something like 'controller 1 ready' ... wouldn't show any more info.

Thanks.

Yea, be good mate. I'll let you know when I do get round to replacing my bit. Had to have my wheel bearing replaced today so that set me back a bit.

Cleaning the MAF with anything will more than likely knacker it, its quite sensitive. Looks like it needs replacing by the sounds of it. The car will be running on preest values until the fault is repaired and cleared.
