Just buy a full strut and hub from a scrap yard?

If not I guess you could get a sub frame dirt cheap from a scrap yard.

Yes, I've ordered a full strut and hub from a peugeot verve on the Same year as mine. I'll change all that over and see how it's looking.

Yes, sub frames are cheap as chips second hand. Are they easy to swap over? I would be working on a drive way.

4 bolts, but you will need to unbolt the lower arms and drop links from the ARB.

I've got a subframe here if needed. Wouldn't be looking for much, I assume it would need to be posted to you though?

Highly unlikely to be the subframe. If impact damaged it's more likely to give positive camber.

So once I've changed over strut and hub and it's still fooked, it's looking likely it's chasis damage then?

Judging by the height of the impact, my guess is the inner wing is pushed in where the top of the strut mounts ... Pug's ain't that strong and all modern cars are designed to crumple on impact ...

206 has proven many times to be as strong as any other small car of the same era.

This one should have been checked on the body jig before repairs where started.

Nearly all accident damaged 206's are not worth bothering with repairing now as a straight car is cheap as chips.

Would a bend in the shock absorber give negative camber?

Definitely. and most likely. Any bend in the bodywork would be visible to the eye.

PS: While not clear my comment was a suggestion and not question and that is despite the very poor grammar by putting a "?" on the end.

If you are changing one strut change them both from the same car.

Changed the strut over today, everything is now straight. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. Car must have taken a right good one to bend the stub axle.

It may not have been the stub axle bent. it could be anywhere in the strut unless you have looked and it is visibly the stub axle.
