First run the tests, before starting throwing any money in changing parts at random

No probs mate, I know how you feel Smile
I wanted to change the world to bring my car roadworthy/comfy to drive asap Smile But inspecting and ruling out causes does save money and nerves (takes more time though, than just dropping off at the garage)

Had this problem, after suspecting out-of-balance wheels / warped brake disk / wheel bearing, this forum helped to identify the cause: it was a buckled/warped wheel hub (the symptom was: strong steering wheel vibration when braking at high speeds).

You could see the wheel wobble:

And the brake disk wobbles too (see gap between brake pads and disk):

Problem gone once new wheel hub fitted:

Hope this helps in your tests

I had exactly the same problem, initially thought it was the discs but when I fitted the new ones and checked for run out it was still there. So I took them off and checked the run out of the hub, it was awful. I've never had a car before when the hub has buckled. A new ( £10 scrappy) hub solved it all.

I tried new brake disks but did not have the dial indicator..

So the car with new brake disks does not shake for couple of weeks, until they go out of balance! That's how the previous owner sold me the car... and it cost cheap
