#1: 206 engine component mixing... Author: Adam2061994, Location: WrexhamPosted: Sun Jun 02, 2013 6:50 am ---- right i have a 206 1.6 16v TU5JP4 engine 2002, and i have heard of a few things to open up the horsepower a little as these engines are very restricted, a mechanic friend of mine suggests that if i do this then i could be pushing over 140bhp so i would like your opinions on this,
keep my TU5JP4 Head as they have bigger valves and are a better head to use, take the 106 gti cams out of the TU5J4 engine and put into my head, using the 106 gti springs too,
then look for a C2 VTs, and take the throttle body, inlet and injectors from the C2 VTs and mount to the TU5JP4 head of mine which has the 106 gti cams in,
then get a 206 xsi 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold to decat the car to replace the restricted cast iron 4-1 mani that comes standard,
then go find a full induction kit, like a pipercross viper kit or typhoon kit and install this,
once this has been done go and have a standalone management or piggyback the cars ecu, so the car is mapped right with all components, im not too sure on this and would like to check that he is chatting right, so has anybody got any decent results from doing something like this, and can anybody spot anything that may not go right with all this, what are peoples thoughts, as i am very curious as i feel this engine is restricted and is very rev happy and have to rev more to get the power out in comparison to the 106 gti....
