206 Idle problem again...

Having a problem on idle only recently just idling erratically. She just seems to keep jumping to 2,000 all the way to say 4,500 just climbs then forced to cut the engine out. Idle Valve Control the little thing with the nipple on the end of it had been changed new only about 2,000 miles ago and the throttle body taken out and cleaned. Is there something triggering this to just keep sticking the ICV or something as I'm clueless? Or is it something else.

well I think that you have the problem with your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which cause what you said,as someone is pushing the petrol pedal to accelerate .

Removed the Idle Valve with a new one which I had and unscrewed the metal tip you get on them to get the right idle and is no longer revving like nuts. Must of been a faulty ICV.

You're not meant to mess with the tip.
That is not for you to adjust idle, unless I misunderstood what you said?
