206 ABS sensors
-> 206 Problems

#1: 206 ABS sensors Author: rwp278 PostPosted: Sun Jun 23, 2013 11:16 am
    ----
Afternoon all,
I'm after a bit of advice with regards to my sisters 206. Due to the usual 206 trait of rear arm bearings failing, I've just replaced my sisters rear beam for a good second hand one.
Putting it all back together, I noticed that the replacement beam had toothed ABS pickup but the old one had magnetic pickup.
I couldn't use the toothed setup as the connector on the ABS sensor didn't fit the car.
So, I reused the magnetic hubs and ABS sensors so that the plugs would fit ok. Now though, the abs light is on so I assume the magnetic setup doesn't work.
My question is, if I now convert it to the tooth pickup and ABS sensors, can I simply cut the plugs off the sensors so I can get them to fit the plugs on the car itself?

Apologies for the waffle!!

Thanks all.............
