I've got a 1.4hdi 2002 when the engine reaches 3000 revs it losers power. I've had a local mechanic have a look he's tried different sensors but with no luck. He doesn't seem to know problem as anybody come across this before.

I would be tempted to look at the fuel system side of things.
filter, injectors, pump.
Any warning lights on dash at all.

The engine management light is on but he said it showed something about heater plugs but that would not be problem. One of the sensors he changed I was told was something to do with drive shaft but that did not cure it.

Surely the mechanic must have code read it, before he messed around with swapping sensors.
Obvious first step for any mechanic i would have thought, or at least an electrician to test the sensors.
