Slight leak on the head gasket.
They have quoted me
Cyl head gasket x1 part PE00000209FL
Cyl head bolt x 10 part PE00000204A5
Gasket rock x1 part PE00000249E2 I have no idea what this is?
Gasket rock x1 part PE00000249C5 I have no idea what this is?
Exh bkt seal x1 part PE0000170933 I have no idea what this is?
Cool liquid x3 part PE00009735K1
Total parts £89.11 + vat
Labour 8hrs @ £82/hr = £656 + vat
Total price £894.13
I think not!
My neighbour has done several head gaskets and rebuilt a couple of engines, so he has told me to get the parts and he will do it with me over a weekend.
I have a Haynes manual, is there anything specific to a 206 we need to be aware of please?

Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Wed Jun 26, 2013 10:06 am ---- I noticed they haven't quoted for a timing belt kit, normally if your going to all the trouble to change the cylinder head gasket you would do the timing belt at the same time while the engine is apart - unless the belt has alrwady been done very recently.

Not sure what to go about skimming the head? Some say yes some say won't know till I see it??
