Violent shaking under hard acceleration between 35 - 50mph

Hi, me and a friend recently installed coilovers, now everything went fine, the only thing that shouldnt have happend was that we pulled a driveshaft out, but that slid back in, everything is tight, and where it should be, however now under hard acceleration between 35 - 50mph the gearstick bounces really badly and the car shakes violently, i have checked all the obvious things like wheel bearing and wheel weights, but we cant work it out :/

I have just had a similar problem and mine was the driveshaft it self

So you had no feeling or shaking in the wheel, just the gearstick and car? also it stops after 50 mph?

Did the drive shaft split at the inner CV joint? If you put it back in make sure the spring is central it's very easy for it to become miss aligned, and will cause exactly what you are experiencing.

All the CV joints are still in tact..i think, and i cant put my finger on what you mean? The spring? i never noticed any spring, we basically slotted it back in :/

The inner CV boot has a spring to ensure that the equal length shafts stay central to each other - if the boot never slid off chances off it's alright as it won't have come far enough for it to dislodge. But it's worth checking anyway. It happened to me so I know it's a likely culprit, especially if you split the wishbone as just the weight of the shaft is enough to pull it out.

yes exactly the same problem I didn't notice mine was split until I took the wheel off and had a proper look the spring had nearly fallen out

Driveshaft(s) up the spout.

Got it sorted, turns ojt it was the left hand side driveshaft, there are three pins, interlocking woth three pins which lets the driveshaft bend, one of the pins had fell out therefore alowing the.driveshaft to jump up and down at a certian point.
