#16: Re: new 206 owner, non starting 206 1.1 Author: richy244, Posted: Thu Jul 04, 2013 5:35 pm ---- hi all, it was all due to losing that bloody chip!
But Ive got a working pug now £160 lighter and with a spare fuel pump and coil pack.
I contacted the £60 / hour diagnostic "expert" who didnt check the key (and concluded it needed a whole new ECU) and he has agreed to give me £30 back after a few heated text messages. (better than nothing)
The new chip is superglued in the key to prevent this happening again however still an expensive lesson!
Thats for everyones input and helping send me in the right direction.
I will clean the car up and post a few pictures on here soon.

The key's normally don't fall apart & the chip is normally clipped inside.
I get the feeling someone is the past has had the key apart.
Did you get a spare key cut / coded at the same time?
