I think it will vary depending how you look and what you wear and say...for instance if you turn up in overalls that are used you will likely get a better price than if you had turned up in a suit and tie talking on your mobile and looking flash..
The overalls can qualify you for trade price parts often aswell..especialy if there's a trade logo on them...but im not suggesting charging some companys account..thats bad news..

Right little update and hope to pick some brains Smile

Eml has been turned off by resetting I bought a new cat pipe and cat and swapped it. Fixed all good.

However for the abs fault it threw up a code 0120 any thoughts on this? It just said unknown on his machine. But then said the wheel speed was reading 9km/h on the rear and 0 on the front(car was stationary Lol) Also said something about track 2 I think

Thinking back the abs light came on after the battery had run down and the recovery used a jump starter pack and then the light came on.

Any help is much appreciated ")

A very good way to potentially fry the BSI unit & do all sorts of damage to the digital electrical system.

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know anymore about the code 0120? For the abs?
Could it be a bad connection or a broken cable? Not sure why its reading 9km/h at stationary tho?

P0120 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Malfunction

#23: Re: 2 problems :( Author: adamb, Location: Mansfield PostPosted: Wed Jul 10, 2013 4:19 pm

I found this but why would it be saying the rear wheel speed of 9km/h?

But if it is that how do I fix it. He got all the data up and then pressed the pedal but the diagnostics was saying the pedal was not being pressed. Is there just a simple screw in sensor on top or is somewhere else?

Thanks

Edit* also why would it be the throttle position sensor for the brake pedal?
