#1: Jacks 1.1 L Project. Author: Jack123, Location: Earl Shilton UKPosted: Tue Jul 02, 2013 1:48 pm ---- I figured it was about time to post a project thread, wont be anything major happening, hoping to get it OEM and looking nice and get everything CC'ed.
Anyhow, progress so far.
-Removed the old Tape Player HU, Replaced with a Sony HU. (Tape!! )
-Changed the old speakers in the front door to a pair of EDGE Speakers, Sony Tweeters.
-Installed iPhone Sony connectivity kit, cable runs down and comes out in the Ash Tray (I think its the Ash tray, I use it to store "Car Park change")
-LED Footwell lights (Which I have recently ripped out to be replaced)
-Upgraded Loom/Dual Optics control stalk ready for Crystals.
-Changed from Phase 1 to Phase 2 Washer Jets
To do list:
- Some minor interior changes.
- Alloys!!
- Possibly Plastidip'ing the car black.
That is literally all I have done to it so far in the year and a half I have owned it, its had some engine work done but its nothing major, just serviced, but its been great for a first car.
Anyhow, Pictures!
As I got it: (Changing the wipers)
Sony Headunit (Bought from Harry I believe)
Taking the dash apart for the iPod/iPhone connectivity.
Speaker Upgrades (I can just remove the covers on mine )
Some sunshine! (If you look closely you can see the Phase 2 Washers)
Got a few little bits arriving soon, so I shall post updates once they are in. Last edited by Jack123 on Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:31 pm; edited 1 time in total

#3: Re: Jacks 1.1 L Project. Author: millow_99, Location: KentpipePosted: Tue Jul 02, 2013 2:39 pm ---- Nice. I like seeing 1.1's around here since they are pretty rare. Seems odd the bumper and mirrors arent color coded though.

Anyways, I always thought all 206's bumpers were color coded. Learned something today. Kinda odd since mine too is an 1.1 (my avatar) and is also bottom spec! The wipers you upgraded to are great. Was the first thing I did on mine when I bought it. The previous skinnies were a little too "skinny" and old school to my liking! And a couple of days later I upgraded to phase 2 washers... I sense a pattern here! lol Just in case, the next step was alloys

I do sometimes like it, then another day I hate it, I go through phases with it

Learn something new everyday! I think it was only pre-2000(???) Where you could get them with the black bumpers, I'm not sure, Never seen anything newer then mine with them.
Next step will be some interior work I am getting done, just basic, then it will be either Alloys or Plastidip, not sure yet.

Yeah I believe the very early ones were available with black bumpers (lowest of the low spec) but after then they at least all came coloured.

Thanks
Yeah the headunit is stil going fine, no issues to report at all! Bit of a tight fit to get it all in though
I wonder what year they changed from the black bumpers then, probably just after mine was built, gutted.
#11: Re: Jacks 1.1 L Project. Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:14 am ---- Please leave the black bumpers and slam it on some proper nice polished lip wheels. The car would then look amazing!

I was considering it after seeing it on a thread earlier, not sure if I should go OEM or not though, not sure on the colour either, been toying with either Red or Black... Not sure if silver/chrome would look right on it.
#13: Re: Jacks 1.1 L Project. Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Thu Jul 04, 2013 7:07 am ---- It would look funny as hell, pretty sure europugs grey 206 (can't remember the guys name who built it originally) had black bumpers and was setup stance wise before it was all sprayed.
That's if I'm thinking of the right one, it was a long time ago.

I'm on the wall at the moment, Its either Plastidip it or get alloys.

Wrapped badge, colour match is spot on! (Cheers Raz!):
