Ecu's post-replacement issues
-> Solved 206 Problems

#1: Ecu's post-replacement issues Author: lslwirus PostPosted: Tue Jul 02, 2013 1:52 pm
    ----
Hi Everybody.

My first post so please go easy on me:)
I will get to the point then. My pug x reg 206 1.4 lx just had it's ecu replaced due to the problems with immo. I went for easiest option and bought a unlocked one (without immo) off ebay. This has been fitted today but unfortunately the car lost the power. Seems like it doesn't fire on all cylinders, although that is only my thought. It's just sluggish and rattles like a tractor. The ecu I have replaced had following no: 1ap.81 16301.794 9639907880, the new one is: 16340.474 9637087080. Is it a problem with ecu needing to 'adjust' itself or maybe wrong ecu alltogether??
Thanks, Dave

You might have a few configs in the ECU which are wrong and will now also need altering with a Peugeot Planet setup (PP2000). What brand ECU is it (Sagem/Magneti etc) and what version number is printed on there eg. S23?

Got a link? Without a fault code scan it could be a number of issues.

No reason at all why it shouldn't work.

Were the old configs ported-over to the replacement unlocked ECU?
If not, you will have to re-config with Peugeot Planet to take into account the specifics of your vehicle.

Otherwise it might be a sepperate issue alltogether, keep at it..

just came back from my mechanic.
pp2000 says it's the wrong ecu, coded for 106REMODE and showing fault: injectors fault 1/4 (or simillar)
will get another one from trusted place mapped for my 1.4 lx, hopefully this one will work

Oops.

I had exactly this when bought the car from the previous owner, wrong map etc > binned it.
It still fired-up and worked OK though, just din't drive very nice and poor mpg.

Good luck and keep us posted.
