#1: 1.4 lx engine conversion Author: Pug-audio, Posted: Wed Jul 03, 2013 6:36 am ---- Right just wanted some info/input on an engine conversion, I have a 206 1.4 lx and I just brought my brothers 206 off him he wrote it off so it's not driveable it's the 136 bhp model, I was wondering if I got a 180 engine could I use the gearbox suspension etc off if his only thing that isn't salvageable is the rear axle, any input would be greatly appreciated

If you want a GTI 180 just go & buy one, there cheap enough now.

The rear axle, manifold + exhaust, air filter housing are all different between the 180 and 138 as well. As are the seats, interior trim parts, rooflining, wing mirrors, side indicators, stereo setup, carpet mats, alloys, ESP and probably many more things I have missed.
