#1: White smoke. Author: trackmonkey, Posted: Mon Jul 08, 2013 2:51 am ---- Hi I'm getting white smoke (not steam) when I drive around the town but it s okay on the motorway, it seems to be burning oil and the smell seems to indicate this . Any ideas ?

Luckily for me, it was a pal that did the job for me so it didn't turn out quite as expensive. One question though and sorry to hijack your thread, is it normal for a 14y old car to burn some oil (my first car with such high mileage/age)? What amount too? Thanks.
