Managed it! My engine ecu.

That's a Sagem S2000 ECU but not the S23 software version that is usually fitted to 1.4i non-mux.

Cancel that.^

I read more of your posts now, yours is mux and "unknown ECU > Refrencing ECU" is normal on later setups.

To read the codes, go back manualy by pressing the appropriate F key, then go to "engine ECU" and scan again.

It's a PP2000 bug that does not give the codes straight-away and I've had this before.
If you scan again from "engine ECU" and somehow keep at it, it basicaly displays everything correctly.

Only just seen your post & will give your idea a try.
However, as I said, when I tried it on a friend's 2005 HDI it found the engine ecu straight away during a global search. Very strange?

Firstly, thank you all very much for help with this.
V9977, I tried your suggestion & it worked! Just clicked "ok" when it asked if you want to continue after not recognising the ecu.

Anyway found fault code P1327,
P1327 Ignition - Integrated Phase detection as an intermittent fault.
The EM light did come on a couple of weeks ago but went off again after a day. I have now cleared the code & will see what happens.

Can now see all the other engine parameters/readings as well.
Again, thanks very much.
