Curious Rattling
-> 206 Problems

Hi guys,

Just a query about my 206 1.1L engine.

When I start the car for the first time of the day, or when the engine is cold, I hear a rattling and the engine sounds quite ropey.

As I don't know much about mechanics (at all), this could be completely normal and I could be curious about nothing. But the noise dissapears after 5-10 minutes of driving (or when the engine temperature gets up to or past 70c).

Btw, the noise can only really be heard when the engine is idle.

Any suggestions?
Cheers guys Smile

Any guidance as to how I may go about fixing this or if it is a worry?

Cheers Smile

Start the car and move around the engine holding things down with a big screwdriver until you spot what is rattling as it goes quiet when pressed with tool..once you find it you can tigjten it up if possible or add some washers or similar depending where you find the rattle?
