my 206 gti 180 has come up the antipollution fault, but it has gone into limp mode sounds like its running of two cylinders when i accelerate and every time i stop the whole car shuts down. I think i have a blow in the manifold. could this be causing the o2 sensors to pick up a different reading and cause this?

help needed ASAP essex southend

Your just p**sing in to the wind until you scan the fault codes.

If the manifold or exhaust is blowing it could very well be the reason why the diagnostic light is on.

yea i know read about so many different things it could been and have a good basic understanding of how it all works, my mates going to plug his laptop into it tomorrow. came up before and stored no codes then cleared itself but this time it is really bad. got to get the manifold sorted though really peeing me of and the heat shield is rattling so going to heat wrap the manifold and get rid of the shield. thanks mate

if your manifold is cracked and sucking in air inbetween you post and pre cat lambda sensors then yeah it will alter the fuel / air mixture becuase it thinks the cat isnt doing its job properly and will either over fuel like a b***h or starve the engien of fuel, either way... its not good,

if you say your car is misfiring, if you cant get it plugged in asap, start with the basics, check your plugs are all ok and not wet with fuel or white on the tips..

get a multimeter and check continueity through the HT leads (if it has them)

if not check to see if there is some from of check you can do on the Coil pack to ensure its in working order!

but like Mr. BSI said before you are p**sing upwards mate.. needs to be plugged in and that will give you a rough indication of what the fault can be
