#1: gti running on 3 cylinders???? Author: andybuff2000, Posted: Fri Aug 02, 2013 12:19 pm ---- My 99 gti has started running on 3 cylinders. Replaced the coilpack but still doing it. Checked injectors all firing ok..... would crank or cam sensor cause this????

try plugs if you have not changed them

The above may not strictly be true that it is that plug but the problem is definitely related to that cylinder. It could be the plug (probably is) or it could be a burnt valve, worn rings or injector for that cylinder.
There are lots of plug colour charts on the web. Compare your plugs with the colour chart and you will have a good indication of how well your engine is running.

it runs fine for the first 10 minutes or so until the car gets warm and then runs lumpy please help thanks
