206 hidden "Rollercoaster" feature

Sup guys.

So, yesterday a couple of my colleagues were getting into the back of the car and moved the handle the wrong way. I'm sure some of you know that this instantly destroys the seat mechanism and it takes a few minutes to click it back in.

Anyway, after a few minutes of p**sing about trying to fix it, I found a piece of the ratchet had fallen off. My seat now slides back and forth freely. Fun!

I haven't got any scrappies near me. Do you reckon I could get the seat mounting assembly from Peugeot? I've been quoted £60 for a whole new seat from a parts place, but that's leather and mine are cloth....

For what peugeot will probably charge for the assembly, you'd be better off taking the leather seat and swapping over your fabrics, pretty easy to do. Shouldn't take more than an hour at most really.

Where would I get more fabric from though?

Just take it off your old seat, it will actually come off in one piece.

No worries, its pretty simple but if you get stuck get in touch with Iain he's retrimmed quite a few 206 interiors now.

Sounds like you need a set of runners, not a frame.

Possibly. It's the little bit that slots into the runners to hold the seat in place that has snapped off. I'm not sure which part of the assembly that it's from

Swap the runners mate. Any seat should mate to yours, ie sports or non sports

Yep, you need a set of runners. Literally a 15 minute job, including taking the seat out.

eBay is your best friend, just had to do this myself last weekend, search 206
Seat runner. Drivers side and passenger is different so make sure you get the right one.
