hi

i have a 52 206 cc. i have had problems when drivng my whole dash unit fails, no speed, no petrol, no oil etc. i took it to my local dealer who have quoted me £1400 for a new dash unit as they say this is whats failed. the car is not worth that much so they advised me to scrap it.

just wondered if anyone had experienced the same or any advice on this? i would like to fix it and sell it on if this isnt to expensive?

if not is anyone looking to buy it off me??

thanks

Do you mean the dials? Surely you can get one from eBay or a scrap yard and fit that?

They're only about £500 from the dealers.

I would go to the dealer and ask for a written estimate with all the work broken down on it. I think whoever it was that told you that price must have worn a mask and greeted you as you walked in by saying "Stand and Deliver"

It's apparently the electrics to the dials? This is a Peugeot garage telling me this?

I've yet to see a multiplexed set of 206 dials actually fail ( apart from when someones dicked about with it )

When the cluster does fail do the headlamps turn on by themself?

I'd be more tempted to get a 2nd opinion.

Also remember any replacement cluster MUST have a LOWER mileage on else you will trigger the anti clocking feature!
