My 206 query

Basically got a few query's regarding my gti180,

have noticed paint is flaking off, mainly on the drivers side where the paint is flaking just under the drivers door rubstrip, the gaps between the drivers door and front don't sit flush with each other, neither does the same wing with the bonnet just above the headlight, the drivers side top mount doesn't have paint like rest of the bodywork and is more like a soft type sealant where the water collects, also the top of the roof where the edge meets the spoiler has paint flaked along the whole edge, not sure if the paint should be flaking on a 2005 car or whether it's been in an accident in the past but there is no paperwork to confirm this.

Also, the drivers foot mat has been replaced for different mats so the 2 bolts are still situ, can these be removed as I don't plan on getting mats which fix into place

It does sound like it's seen paintwork in the past Wink

Did you do a full proper HPI check before you bought the car?

I've done a text check a few times on the way to view a vehicle, for the sake of a few quid it's definitely worth it.

I used the £3.99 text check before looking at my 180.
When I decided to buy it, I paid £9.99 for the RAC's HPI and found it had outstanding finance on it Shocked
The matter was resolved quickly, but the cheap HPI check didn't record it Rolling Eyes

Just looked back and no it doesn't even mention anything about finance...

Sure it includes it in the mytextcheck adverts though?

These cheap text checking services are not worth a w**k Wink

If your thinking about buying a car do a PROPER HPI check!
