#16: Re: Does my car have remote central locking? Author: tyler56895, Posted: Fri Sep 13, 2013 4:53 am ---- I've got a simillar issue regarding a remote key. My car is a 1.4 hdi verve, 2006, came with one remote and one standard key. When my son passed his test I decided to buy a second hand fob off eBay, took the blade and imobilser chip out of standard key and tried the re-synch method in the handbook, but it would not work. Took it to an auto locksmith who reset the whole system charged me £40 and still no good. He confirmed that his manual said my car should work with 2 remotes and that eBay fob was transmitting on the correct frequency.
Is my eBay fob faulty or am I missing something?

Don't know what the locksmith did to reset the whole system. I know you can clone remotes and immobilisers, but the easiest way is to pair them using PP2000 and the security code that was supplied at point of sale with the car.

What is a PP2000?

Wont work as the 2nd hand keyfob has NEVER been coded to the car with Peugeot Planet.
ALL resync is for it to get an original coded fob working again after you change the remotes battery.

It that something that is easy if I find somebody local or will I need to go to dealer?
