#1: Changed my cluster, what to do about the mileage?? Author: scribble898989, Posted: Wed Sep 04, 2013 3:27 am ---- I had to change my cluster as the speedo had decided to stop working and picked one up from the scrappy for £15quid, it works fine but is obviously displaying a different mileage which is around 25k miles less than the correct mileage, how do I change it or do i just have to tell the person i sell it to when i come to sell it??
I have written down the miles so i could total them all up
Thank you

#4: Re: Changed my cluster, what to do about the mileage?? Author: scribble898989, Posted: Wed Sep 04, 2013 4:24 am ---- It passed its MOT last month with the broken speedo, apparantley the speedo has to be visible and must illuminate but nothing says it has to work...
The day after i changed the cluster, so the miles are recorded on the MOT, i noted down the miles of the new cluster when i fitted it.
I didnt know if a garage could change the mileage or if i have to tell the DVLA or someone :S

no need to tell dvla etc

MOT printout shows current mileage when tested PLUS the last 3 mot test dates with recorded mileages so it will be noticeable to anyone that actually pays attention when they look at the MOT printout.
