#1: Peugeot 206 external temperature sensor addition?? Author: Aris, Posted: Wed Sep 11, 2013 12:11 pm ---- Hi. Recently i changed the clock display screen of my P.206. The new one is from a newer model so it has an outside temperature sign that is not working. So i would like to ask if anybody knows:
1. Can i connect a temperature sensor on my Peugeot, a new spare part?
2. Where do i connect the wires of the sensor? Is there a ready input on my car that i can connect it? And where is that?

My car its a left hand drive 206
The question is that in my car there was not an external temperature sensor, so i just ask if anybody knows, if i can connect one on my car, in order to work the temp. sign on the new screen.
It would be very helpful for me if someone could look and tell me or show me in a photograph where the wires of the sensor are connected. I know that is not an easy work but every help you could give me would be useful

I guess it depends if your car has the wiring from the door mirror to the display, etc.

Are they connected on the right's door plug? Or the wires of the sensor come from the ECU?
Thank for your reply

The wiring to the ECU will be there already from the mirror/door in the loom (or not as the case may be!)
Peugeot to save money tend to have one loom for each model of car*, so likelyhood is the wiring is there but you will have to tell the BSI unit that the sensor is in or it just ignores it. You have a 2002 model so it's probably the multiplex wiring system which means many of the sensors and parts share the wiring and the BSI computer works it out.
* Not always true as the loom in the 180 GTi I think is different as are the multiplex and non-multiplex looms.
