#18: Re: 1.6 16v aux belt route Author: BlueBolt, Posted: Wed Sep 11, 2013 5:34 pm ---- That's the boy!!
What's the routing in the picture I can only see half of??

Try that, there are 3 different options for the tensioner on this engine!
#20: Re: 1.6 16v aux belt route Author: BlueBolt, Posted: Wed Sep 11, 2013 5:41 pm ---- Acutally, I can work it from what I can see.
round the power steering pump
down round the alternator
back round the roller
down round the air con pump
back to the crank
up round the tentioner
back to the power steering pump.
This means I've got the routing right. Just that the diagram I put above made me think otherwise as it shows the belt double back on itself...

Haha
Only Pug!!! That's the wrong tentioner, but the right setup/routing that I'm after!! Or at least that's how it fits at the moment, just made me question myself as mentioned.
Thank you for your help

This is the reason I've told them I'm not garunteeing my work for this job!! Taking on a job that's been started by a muppet who didn't know what was needed/expected to complete it means I haven't been the one to take it all apart, meaning I'm not 100% on the "back together" process.
All back together now, and thanks to the servicebox diagrams I've found the home for the couple of bolts left over, hopefully these bolts will stop the belt jumping two teeth off the steering pump like it has been!!
