#1: Newbie GTi 180 questions Author: cheekyage, Location: AustraliaPosted: Mon Sep 23, 2013 11:38 am ---- Hi all,
Looking to get a few answers that I'm having trouble finding as I'm still learning all the ins and outs of the 206 GTi 180.
1. Is there a factory fitted engine immobiliser?
2. Where would I find the paint colour code?
3. Are there anti-theft sockets for the anti-theft wheels in the glove box?
4. Apart from a dealer, where else could I find genuine Peugeot parts and accessories?
5. If the timing belt was changed in 2011 would it make a difference if it was replaced earlier than 4 years/120,000kms? REASON FOR ASKING - Water pump was never changed and could possibly need replacing, better off getting the whole kit I would imagine.
6. Is the service indicator spanner (within instrument cluster) on ignition start up measured in kms or miles?
7. Does the car feature auto-sensor headlights?
8. Do the side door mirrors retract automatically/electronically?
Any info or advice on the above would be fantastic!
Many thanks in advance. Last edited by cheekyage on Mon Sep 23, 2013 11:45 am; edited 1 time in total

1. Yes
2. Sticker on the door pillar.
3. Would hope so, but they will be wherever the last owner left them.
4. Euro Car Parts or another factors. Some parts will be manufactured by companies like Bosch etc so you should be able to get them elsewhere.
5. Probably not, unless the last garage has made a mess of it.
6. Should be in the same unit the mileage is measured in unless someone has changed it.
7. Yes.
8. Yes, you turn the knob for adjusting the mirrors 180 degrees so it points towards the arrow above the electric window buttons. They won't fold automatically on locking / unlocking.
Most of this is covered in the FAQ's or elsewhere in the forum.
