My mate just bought a 260 gti 180 which has a whine in most gears and now he's saying it pops out of 5th gear so we've figured it's time for a new gearbox.
The question is which gearboxes will fit? and are there any 6 speed conversions that are a straight fit?

I do have a 180 box if I retested from a 180 that I broke,

I know it has close ratios and a long 1st gear but that aside, are there no other BE PSA boxes that are hydraulic clutch and cable gear selector?
