What's the point? Doesn't matter how good they are if they are just on the bump stops just get cheap ones and ruin them.

Also helpers are irrelevant for MOT as long as the are secure whilst the car is sitting down, as appose to jacked up.

So do all good ones just f**k when lowered all the way down?

You could spend thousands and buy loads to test, but unless you do no one can say as people have ran the cheapest ones on the market for years with no problems (even wound fully down) and had expensive ones that broke after a year or two.

Aside from the quality the extra cost comes from the time and money invested into maximising the component's performance - making the car sit on the bump stops just seems to make it all pointless so you may as well just some cheap ones.

My opinion anyway..

have to agree completely with harry. if you're gonna be sitting on bumpstops anyway id get cheap coilovers and a good set of lower arms and top mounts instead to take the beating

Do you want decent good quality coilovers. Look Gaz Gold, KW Variant 2 or my prefer Bilstein B14.
