#1: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 9:37 am ---- Hi all,
Bit of strange one for you, I bought an sp grille off ebay for £75.00
Its arrived today with a horrible zunsport badge welded onto it with a spot welder. It's also not exactly in the correct place its slightly too low. I've already bought a proper SP badge to go on it.
Do you think it'll be possible to unweld the zunsport badge/plate somehow without it being noticeable and damaging it?
I dont think they'll refund me as I've opened it now.
Any thoughts appreciated!

When i look at zunsport I just see a badge that says fake, just doesn't look right to me

You can't get it off without damaging the paint a lot.
If you put a picture up from the back it may be easier to say.

#7: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:38 pm ---- How do you mean wrong?
#9: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:46 pm ---- The badge is too low, about a badge length too low.
Very anal yes
#10: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:50 pm ---- A badges height too low sorry
#11: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:50 pm ---- Doesn't look like it's held on solidly. could get it off but would probably end up bending it slightly.
What are you comparing it to to say it's too low though? They may be placed differently to the SP badge.
I personally wouldn't worry, Zunsport are a quality company that supply tons of car manufacturers with parts. Looks better than the SP badge anyway imo.
#12: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:59 pm ---- I lined it up ontop of a proper sp grill that I'm selling.
You mean I'd bend the badge or the mesh? If the badge that doesn't matter, how would I go about it?
#13: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 1:30 pm ---- Dont want to risk damaging it, I'll have to sell it
#14: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 1:42 pm ---- Prise the badge away from the sport weld on the back, but yes will probably bend and damage the paint.
Who's the say this isn't right and the SP badge is too high?
#15: Re: unwelding? zunsport badge Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Wed Oct 09, 2013 1:49 pm ---- Hahaha, guess you could say that
