#6: Re: ***HeLp*** Engine Management issue Author: southwestchap, Location: DevonPosted: Fri Oct 11, 2013 5:58 am ---- get the codes up as said. could be a number of things. One time when we had a 1.4 that wouldn't start it turned out to be the crank shaft sensor was dodgy

8628 or 8272 as stated in the picture?
From looking at the picture, it's possible that it's linked to the immobiliser. Quite common for the aerial to need replacing at the ignition barrel.
#15: Re: ***HeLp*** Engine Management issue Author: sheerness, Posted: Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:15 am ---- opsssss its 8272 my mistake,
also it is a replacement key barrel and key,
kind regards

#16: Re: ***HeLp*** Engine Management issue Author: sheerness, Posted: Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:20 am ---- if you guys want to log in to my pc and do the diagnostic and have a go to try and get to the bottom of this would be gr8, my brother is also stumped on this issue to and he does fix cars on the side. but he now hate's pugs and citroen lol.....
#17: Re: ***HeLp*** Engine Management issue Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:25 am ---- One thing we can say is that you need to find the break between pin 3 on the 26 way yellow connector in the BSI which runs to pin 3 of the 6 way black connector on 8220 - analogue module transponder, which is the immo chip receiver.
#18: Re: ***HeLp*** Engine Management issue Author: sheerness, Posted: Tue Oct 22, 2013 12:19 pm ---- Hi there thank you very much for that info, I have located the yellow block and pin 3, I am thinking I will just run a new wire from that pin 3 of the yellow plug on the bsi to the 6 way black connector on 8220 AMT, Can you tell me where about's this 6 way black connector is located? The dashboard has been removed but I am not really wanting to take the heating system out again and removing all the antifreeze and so on, Thank you macca1411 for you help, I am very hopeful that I will be driving my car again in a few days with your help, I was hoping that I could have done this today as the new Ecu & Bsi arrive as it is my birthday oh well lol..... Again "thank You" for your help so far
