Hi,

I have a old type (2000 a reg) 206 and need a code reader/ scanner.

Can someone point me in the right direction through eBay or amazon.

Many thanks

I've got an Autel Maxiscan for my December 2000 build 206 GTi, Works fine. They are about £30 from Amazon.

Although OBDII compliance was only required on petrol cars sold in Europe after 2001, many manufacturers who sold vehicles in the USA started using it in 1996 when it became mandatory over there.

Might be worth seeing if someone close by has a scanner that they can try on it, and then you'll have some idea of what to buy.
