phase 2 boot trim spraying

Im about to buy a phase 2 boot trim however its the wrong shade of silver so I want to spray it myself, is it a case of a light sand down,spray colour,then clear lactor?

Yes, unless you go down to the plastic, then you will need plastic primer.

Use fine wet&dry and wet it to rub down ...

Thanks, with it being a darker silver and needs spraying a lighter shade, that shouldn't be a problem should it, in terms of making it even darker when spraying it my colour.
