#1: Death of car Author: 206gti_chris, Location: SussexPosted: Fri Nov 01, 2013 5:33 pm ---- Right basically car has been faultless for a year, had belt & waterpump change last sunday since then, the central locking started bouncing it would take me 6 attempts or more to lock the car.
Then tonight about 2 hours ago just pull onto the drive and the car literally has a fit, all the dash lights start flickering, the lights go dim and smoke started coming out the dash, since then the car will not start, if you press the hazards they flash like 3x normal speed, nothing works correctly dash lights some of them do not work.
Seems to me at a guess the ecu has fried, but im looking to see if anyone else has had this problem, really cant be f**** to pay for a mobile mechanic i rather know if its worth fixing or not

£13 for 2 earths and a negative battery terminal lol bargain fix
