#1: 2.0 HDi (90) Oil consumption Author: chrisritch, Posted: Mon Nov 11, 2013 7:07 am ---- What would you expect the oil consumption to be on one of these? Its a 2000 model with 97k on it.
Also the oil gauge seems to be lower when started and then if i do a small journey and check it again it goes right to the top?

These go faulty from time to time and shouldn't be relied on.
With my car, I can move it 2 feet on the drive and it goes from full to empty because of a slight incline. I don't trust it and prefer to check the level using the dipstick.

#5: Re: 2.0 HDi (90) Oil consumption Author: chrisritch, Posted: Mon Nov 11, 2013 8:16 am ---- Just reading up and it seems the digital one is a common fault, Mine is the one where the oil temp gauge is used as the oil level gauge on start up, Is this prone to being faulty also?
